It Takes Money To Make Money!

If you want to make money on the Internet, you are going to have to spend money on advertising. We will list a few methods of effective paid promotions on the Internet.

Ezines: You can purchase regular, top sponsor and solo advertisements from a variety of ezines on the Internet. This method of advertising gives you the best bang for you money.

The best ezine advertising method are solo ads. Solo advertisements are exclusive mailings of your ad copy (usually up to 50 lines) to the entire subscriber base of an opt-in list. A well written sales copy can generate excellent results.

The next best place for your ezine ad is the top sponsor ad.  The top sponsor ad might cost you a bit more money than classified ads, but the response will be greater. These ads far outperform a regular classified ad almost 3-to-1. Since people generally skim ezines, they notice the top sponsor ad the most. Also your top sponsor ad does not get lost amongst the other classified ads at the middle or bottom of the ezine.

When you feel comfortable enough to begin paying for your ads, do a search for "paid ezine ads" on  Google.com and start researching ezine "candidates" for your ads.

Pay Per Click Search Engines: The most popular Pay Per Click Search Engines are Google.com and Overture.com. Overture and google work on a bid-for-placement format. Depending on how much you're willing to pay, you can GUARANTEE yourself a top placement with most of the major search engines - AltaVista, MSN, AOL, etc.

This is an excellent way of driving targeted traffic to your web site for as little as a penny per visitor. There are now over 75 quality pay per click search engines on the Internet that you can immediately get ranked on.

The nice thing about pay per click search engines is that you do not have worry about waiting 4-6 weeks before you get listed and you control where your listing is going to be placed. It
generally costs about $25 to set up an account which also goes towards your initial clicks.

Banners: Although banner advertising is not as effective as it used to be, you can take advantage of the falling prices and still get good results IF you have an effective banner.

Effective banners should be fast loading and give the viewer a reason to click. You should also inquire about placing your banner on targeted sites that will bring visitors who will be interested in purchasing your product or service.

There are a few sites on the Internet where you can create your own custom banners online. Just pop in a search query for "free banner creation" in any major search engine and you will find many web sites where you can do this.

Offline Advertising: Most people trying to make money on the Internet fail to realize the potential of offline advertising. You can place your web site URL on pens, business cards, postcards, mugs, buses, etc...

Don't feel that you have to be restricted to only advertising on  the Internet. By getting your ad out in the offline world, you will help brand your company and help get you customers who
generally may have not found your products or services online.

These a ways in which you can spend money on advertising in a wise manner. Don't blow your hard earned money on bulk search engine submission, bulk classified ad submission or bulk free-
for-all-link submissions. These methods are not as effective anymore and you will just end up wasting your money.

You will only be able to rely on free advertising for so long. If you want to succeed, you will have to open up your wallet. Spend your money in a smart way, and your wallet will get fatter!
